Friday Night Funkin (FNF) is a free rhythm game. The game revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of characters in singing and rapping contests in order to date his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay revolves around mimicking the opponent's notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.
HOW TO PLAY FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN GAME?
The game is made up of several minigames, and each one comes out on a different week. In each minigame, you, the player, have to fight another bad guy to win, and then you can move on to the next one. The battles are like musical fights because the player has to hit the right patterns of notes at the right times by using the arrow keys or the W, A, S, and D keys. When the symbols match the notes, press the keys that go with them to hit the right notes.
At the bottom of the screen is a bar with green and red sections. The green section is for the players, and the red section is for the computers. When the player hits the right notes, the green bar goes up. You have to keep doing this until the green bar is full, and you can't let the computer hit the notes while you miss. If the red bar goes all the way up, you lose.
The players can choose to play at an easy, medium, or hard level of difficulty. The higher the level of difficulty, the faster the songs get and the more complicated the patterns they have to hit. You can play the Story Mode, where you go through the whole story and see how the characters react and talk, or you can play the Free Play Mode, where you just battle on the songs you choose.
The main story of the game series is about Boyfriend, who is usually the character you play. He has to win singing and rapping contests against different enemies because that's the only way he can impress and date Girlfriend, the woman he loves. Each week, new bad guys show up who want to stop Boyfriend from dating Girlfriend. If you do your best to beat them in competitions, though, Boyfriend and Girlfriend will finally be together!
The name of Week 1 is "Daddy Dearest," which is also the name of the bad guy you fight. He used to be a rock star and is the father of Girlfriend. He doesn't want Boyfriend to date his daughter, so you have to show him how good you are at music. In the first week, there are three songs: "Bopeebo," "Fresh," and "Dad Battle."
In Week 2, which is called "Spooky Month," Pump and Skid try to take GF from her house and bring her to Monster, who BF has to fight to save his loved one from. "South" and "Spookeez" are the main songs for this week.
Week 3 (Pico) includes the songs "Pico," "Philly Nice," and "Blammed." In these songs, Pico is a hitman hired by Daddy Dearest to kill Boyfriend. When Pico finds out that he knows Boyfriend, he challenges him to a rap battle instead of killing his friend.
Week 4 is when we meet The Mom, who is, of course, GF's mother. Their musical battle takes place on the roof of a limo, surrounded by dancing devils. The main songs in the competition are "Satin Panties," "High," and "M.I.L.F."
The next week, Week 5, also called "Red Snow," takes place in a shopping mall during the Christmas holidays. Boyfriend will face off with Girlfriend's parents, who have taken Santa hostage and are holding him at gunpoint, after they have taken Santa as a hostage. "Cocoa," "Eggnog," and "Winter Horrorland" are the best songs of the week.
At the time of this writing, Week 6, also called "Hating Simulator," is the most recent week in the series. It has songs called "Senpai," "Roses," and "Thorns." Girlfriend and Boyfriend are both in this game. They both got sucked into a dating simulator game where they have to fight a character called Senpai.
