New World is the latest MMO game released by Amazon, in which players can choose whether to fight or not. If the player chooses to fight in the New World, how do we start the war?
You'll soon be able to declare war more easily in the new world, which is a great consolation for those tired of peacetime crap. Some MMO game companies have found themselves unable to declare war on others, but Amazon hopes that has now been resolved.
Recently, players in New World have found that they can't seem to declare war on a different territory, even though they think they are over the 10% requirement threshold to bring that territory into conflict, which is hard to track at the moment, so players are often not sure.
Well, Amazon Game Studios reports on its latest development blog that it "fixes most cases" -- especially regarding a bug fixed in a recent update, "where many players from factions are in PvP missions in the same time" which means that the impact of these tasks is not being calculated correctly. However, the team asked players to report if the game was still in progress.
However, the team acknowledges that there are other war-related issues to contend with, including one that led to another — New World didn't properly display the company's influence contribution so players would know if they should declare war. The team is "investigating" the issue, but "no timetable yet". Amazon said it was also aware of the difficulty players had with choosing a POW camp tier, but "hasn't been able to identify the issue yet."
Elsewhere in the blog, the developer has retracted his assertion that cross-region server transfers are "impossible" and is working on them now, but don't expect to see a minimap in the new world anytime soon.
