New Zealand Dating

At Two’s Company I organise 80 to 100 dates every week. I do follow ups after every first date. I get a lot of feedback! When I sign up a new client I ask them,“What is it you are looking for? What are you attracted to? What do you want from a man?" With all of this information a

New Zealand Dating is hard. You find someone who you think is nice, and share some things in common with, but the spark just isn't there. Sometimes, it can be hard to find out what's wrong; maybe they're too short/fat/tall/boring/stupid or perhaps you are.

Matchmaking could be your answer. For decades friends and families have been trying to find that special someone for their loved ones by introducing them to other people they find interesting. It might sound like a somewhat haphazard process - given the fact that you could end up matched up with whoever - but used correctly matchmaking has helped many singles find their perfect partner.

Here are some tips on how best to go about using matchmakers and find that special someone:

  1. Use a matchmaker who is good at their job and cares about you

A matchmaker should be able to find somebody with similar interests, goals, motivations and personality traits. This means somebody who you will find interesting and fun to be around. They should find someone who is compatible with you so that your relationship has a chance of success in the long term too. If they find somebody for you but they're not quite right, don't give up on finding love just yet! Discuss it with them and see if they can help find somebody better suited to you.

  1. Do your research into their past matches

Don't go into any situation blindly; know what kind of people they've found for others. Check how many couples are still together, find out what you have in common with previous matches and find out about the matches they didn't find success with. Make sure that your matchmaker can find a special someone for you as well as those who were successful before otherwise the results may not be worth it.

  1. Don't expect things to be perfect

No matter how hard matchmakers try, there will always be some people they find no connection with. Understand up front that even if you find somebody else, you're going to have a few awkward dates first - but at least this way you'll know absolutely whether it's going nowhere or not rather than wondering what went wrong later. If it doesn't work out then there is no harm in having another go - find somebody else who is more compatible with you!

  1. Be yourself

Don't try to be somebody you're not just for the sake of finding somebody. It's important to find somebody genuine so that they will love you for who you are rather than what they want you to be. If your matchmaker finds somebody for you but it turns out that they don't like your personality, then chances are things won't work out anyway - find someone who can relate to you! There's no point making things work if both parties don't find each other attractive.

  1. Have patience

It might take a while to find your perfect partner, and that's okay! You shouldn't feel forced into anything or find somebody who isn't right for you. Take your time to find somebody who really is compatible with you, and don't settle for anything less!
