Bieksa has a no-trade clause. reported on Thursday that Bieksa agent said his client hasn't been asked to waive the clause.
The Detroit Red Wings and Dallas Stars also are believed to be interested in Bieksa.
At 34, Bieksa is a solid defenseman who has a good point shot and ability to play in all zones. Trading him would be logical.
Lucic has a limited trade clause; it allows him to OK a deal to 15 teams. And he has a year Johnny Hekker Jersey left on his contract with a cap hit of $6 million.
Call it another case of a team cashing out a player before his walk year. And it's the same with Bieksa, who has a year left at $4.6 million.
